Jane E Haskell, University of Maine Cooperative Extension

Jane Haskell

Jane Haskell is a Community Development Educator with University of Maine Cooperative Extension.  She thrives in  designing and implementing experiential community development programs for youth and adults. As a result of her community facilitation work, she collaboratively created two curricula, Strengthening Your Facilitation Skills, Levels 1 and 2.  These Training Series are designed to help local citizens as well as professional staff learn how to get work done more effectively and efficiently in group meetings. As a result, she has trained and worked with hundreds of volunteers and staff from over 50 organizations in Maine.  The curriculum is now being used to train new Extension staff as well as citizens in other states. Jane is a founding member of the Enhancing Rural Capacity team.  She also works within communities, facilitating varied conversations between groups of farmers, librarians, or comprehensive planners as well as women investors or refugees. In her spare time she teaches components of various leadership academies and graduate classes in Higher Education.
